At Zany Kennels, we're devoted to the German Shepherd breed. We believe a well rounded GSD should be able to compete in conformation and also do performance events. Elaine, the owner of Zany Kennels, has owned German Shepherds for more than 20 years. She is a trainer at Tails Up Dog Training, Burnsville, MN and understands the German Shepherd breed.

Elaine and her dogs are very active in obedience, rally, agility, conformation, herding and maybe one day in tracking. She competes in the AKC, UKC, NADAC and is an active member of the White German Shepherd Dog Club of America. Indy, her current primary obedience dog, has her open level obedience titles and is working at the utility level. She is striving for an OTCH (Obedience Trial Champion) title for Indy.

Some of our dogs were purchased from other breeders and some were born at Zany Kennels. One dog, our special girl Zeena, was rescued as a puppy when she was abandonded by her owners. Zeena is spayed, but many of our dogs are potential breeding dogs. We look for solid temperament and working drive as well as conformation when we choose which dogs to breed.

We typically have 1-2 litters a year. All our puppies are born and raised inside our home. They are played with daily and socialized a great deal in order to help get them ready for your home. We're always here to help you with your questions and to point you in the right direction with your training. We want you to enjoy your Zany Kennels puppy as much as we enjoy all our dogs!
